In a one-on-one environment, Margaret will guide students on fundamental aspects from loading a quilt to proper tensioning and safe ergonomics to keep your body healthy. You will learn interesting background designs appropriate to your level so you can quilt happily and creatively from the front side of the longarm. Class will start with simple motifs, adding features and new components to create complex-looking yet beginner-friendly designs. Then you’ll discuss using templates and a few simple custom features all beginners can do. This class is intended to leave students with the confidence they need to quilt on their own when they go home. Students will each quilt a sampler quilt using templates and leave with the condifence to work with templates again and again!
