Ahhhh…the “A” word! Many quilters steer clear of the time-honored technique of hand needleturn appliqué. We so love the finished result, yet feel it is too time consuming a project for this busy day and age. What if there was an easy and simple way to prepare your fabrics for appliqué with no freezer paper, no fusible web or interfacing, no glue, no overlays, no pins, no template plastic! WHAT? Just fabric, needle, and thread are all you need to begin this wonderful journey. The technique has been used for hundreds of years. Jan adds a few tweaks to make the process even faster, bringing this age-old technique into the world of modern hand needleturn appliqué. It is ideal for traveling and when you need a little handwork ready and at your fingertips to keep busy. Supplies are not required for a lecture, although you may want to bring a pen and paper to take notes.
