Kris Vierra | Spring Paducah Instructor

kris-vierraQuilting instructor, professional longarm quilter, and fitness enthusiast Kris Vierra has been a quilter and seamstress for more than 20 years and a longarm quilter for nine years. She teaches at national shows and guilds across the country and has won numerous national awards for her machine quilting work. Most recently, Kris was awarded the Best Longarm Machine Workmanship award at AQS QuiltWeek events in Phoenix, Arizona, and Des Moines, Iowa, for A QUILTER’S GARDEN. She won the Pfaff Master Award for Machine Artistry at the International Quilt Festival in Houston, Texas in 2015, as well as Best of Show at the Northwest Quilting Expo in 2014.

In addition to quilting and teaching, Kris enjoys creating commissioned fiber art. Her most recent work can be seen as album art for the Australian band The Avalanches’ album, Wildflower. A full-time longarm quilting business keeps Kris busy, and she is currently designing her own line of longarm rulers and wholecloth quilt stencils. Her classes focus on teaching quilters how to expand their knowledge base while breaking out of their comfort zones. Kris believes that quilting should be fun and not stressful. Take a look at
