Location: Heritage Ballroom C
Teacher: Phyllis Twigg Hatcher
Level: All levels

Aboriginals in central Australia have created dot art designs in sand for thousands of years. See how the current indigenous outback artists’ dot paintings are now being transformed into fabric and used by quilters, sewers, and decorators everywhere. Phyllis will explain the meaning of the fabric designs as they relate to Aboriginal culture and real life in the desert outback, which she has visited several times. Over 30 actual fabrics will be shown. Supplies are not required for a lecture, although you may want to bring a pen and paper to take notes.
