Cherrywood Hand-Dyed Fabric from Minnesota has been issuing challenges to artists all over the world for the last four years. This PRINCE Cherrywood Challenge helps bridge the gap between quilting and mainstream art. The contestants used the same hand-dyed fabric, color, and size to create original designs using any technique they chose. Many viewed this as a personal challenge to try something new, step outside their comfort zone, and share their creativity with the world. Hear the story about how this tribute to the late Prince Rogers Nelson was created. Supplies are not required for a lecture, although you may want to bring a pen and paper to take notes.
