Kris has been sewing and quilting for over 20 years and has run a successful longarm quilting business for the last 12. She teaches at national shows and guilds across the country, and she has won numerous national awards for her machine quilting skills over the years. Most recently, Kris was awarded Best Movable Machine Quilting at AQS QuiltWeek Paducah in 2018. She also won PFAFF Master Award for Machine Artistry at the International Quilt Festival Houston in 2015; and Best of Show at the Northwest Quilt Expo in 2014. Two of her quilts, TIGER, TIGER and STAR OF INDIA, are part of the permanent collection of The National Quilt Museum in Paducah. Kris recently published her first book, Easy Machine English Paper Piecing.
Kris’s classes focus on teaching quilters how to expand their knowledge base and break out of their comfort zone. She believes quilting should be fun and not stressful. Kris enjoys teaching and sharing her love and passion for all things quilt-related.
