Margaret Brewster Willingham, a quilter, quilt pattern designer, retired professional dancer, and dance teacher, is the founder and creative force behind Eye of the Beholder Quilt Designs. She is inspired by the functional elegance of Victorian architecture and decoration and the abundant beauty of God. Margaret choreographed dances for 40 years; now she choreographs quilts! She loves all things quilty, but has a special love for hand appliqué and reverse appliqué using her “Trace! Baste! Snip! & Stitch!” process. Margaret loves creating things of beauty and helping others to find their creative voices while gaining the skills to make beautiful things. She designs patterns for Island Batik, EBI Fabrics, RJR Fabrics, Timeless Treasures, and Batik Textiles, and has been published in OnPoint by AQS, Fons & Porter magazines, and Quiltmaker’s 100 Quilt Blocks. Her book, Christmas R.A.P.P.-ing, co-authored with Nan Baker, hits shelves soon. Learn more at eobquiltdesign.com.
