Learn to cut two types of fusible clam shells for quilts, blocks, or borders. A pillow-size sample will be made in class, with time to learn to stitch fusible appliqué by machine.

Students will learn a variety of stitch motifs to use with a regular home sewing machine. Add interesting texture to your unfinished projects such as spirals, pebbles, fans, seashells, and waves, plus combinations of different motifs. No need to make sample blocks; you will use inexpensive squares of felt to experiment with different stitching techniques and motifs, and you’ll have the squares to take with you as reference for practice at home.
