After teaching the skills to feel confident with these techniques, Sue will show a short PowerPoint to solidify your knowledge. With Sue’s patient guidance, learn all the basic skills needed to master machine quilting on your home sewing machine.

The hardest part about starting quilting is just that: starting! Join Judi for The Ultimate Beginner Longarm Class and learn everything you need to know to get started on the longarm. Judi will show you the basics like loading the machine and choosing the right threads. Then you’ll practice on your own machine (no sharing required) as you gain confidence to quilt on the longarm. You’ll learn basic stitches like loops and swirls, and Judi will show you how to introduce those elements into blocks and borders. Then you’ll move on to flowers, connecting curves, and more. Once you’re comfortable with the basics, Judi will introduce feathers and rulerwork to give you a taste of what longarm quilting has to offer! Each student will work on their own machine all day.

Registration for this class includes show admission for Wednesday.
