Rock Around the Block is based on the traditional Jack’s Chain block. Nancy worked out the math so that students do not have to sew any Y seams! She will guide students through each simple step as they create their block. By adding an additional triangle in the four corners of each block, plus sashing and cornerstone units, you can create a secondary block, or you can leave them out and those little Nine-Patches will just keep going around. If you use a black background, they seem to float all over the quilt!
