Come find out what all the fuss is about with English Paper Piecing! English Paper Piecing dates back to the late 1700s, when hexagon quilts became popular in England. The technique involves basting fabrics over paper templates and then sewing the shapes together by hand. In this one-hour lecture, Jen will discuss the basic tools needed as well as techniques, including how to cut the fabric, baste the pieces, and hand sew them together, along with tips and tricks to make your projects shine. You’ll see examples of successful quilts and be inspired to try new things with English Paper Piecing in your own quilts! Come for a fun and insightful learning experience and leave with the confidence to tackle English Paper Piecing. Supplies are not required for a lecture, although you may want to bring a pen and paper to take notes.
