Are you a brand-new longarm quilter? This six-hour class will be a deep immersion into the pool of freehand quilting… but you will use the stairs! Each student will get to use their own longarm machine all day – no sharing required. Begin perfecting your ability to smoothly nest freehand shapes and transform simple shapes into more complex ones, ending with contemporary blended background fills. Next, learn perfect freehand feathers that do not rely on backtracking, making you look like a pro immediately. Finally, learn simple serpentine feathers and master tucking feathers into curls. Leave class ready to take on the freehand world! Beyond the technical skills of quilting, learn about threads, troubleshooting, and especially ergonomic safety to protect your body for years of happy quilting.

Registration for this class includes show admission for Wednesday.
