Learn how to get those quilt tops off the shelves and onto your beds and walls. Machine quilting can be fun, efficient, and attractive after you learn the tips and techniques to make it go smoothly. This class will cover materials and tools, straight-line quilting and free-motion techniques, and strategies for handling and quilting larger quilts on a home sewing machine. Day one will cover set-up and fundamentals like loading your quilt and warming up your body for quilting basic designs. The second day covers deciding what to quilt where, developing a detailed quilting plan, and building a vocabulary of machine quilting movements and designs. You’ll leave this two-day workshop with the confidence to quilt on your machine at home! Lunch is provided each day.
